Article 1- The Racism
Racism is the hatred, rejection or exclusion of a person because of their race, skin color, ethnic origin or language, which prevents them from enjoying their human rights. It is caused by an irrational feeling of superiority of one person over another.
The Convention defines in its Article 1 that racial discrimination is "any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent or ethnic or national origin, which has the purpose or effect of invalidating or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, in equal situations, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural field or any other area”.
There is a perception that racism is directed towards people of African descent when in reality it has several components, including skin color, ethnic origin, race and language; such as indigenous people, Asians, etc.
This is close to existing since times of conquest, when conquerors such as Great Britain, Spain and France, advanced around the world finding natives whom they despised and treated as inferiors, turning them into their slaves; the majority with distinctive features, although there have been advocates to stop this type of discrimination, part of the population cannot change how they were raised
